If you are someone who has a fascination with ghosts, cryptids, demons, aliens, magic, psychic abilities, or anything else in the paranormal or supernatural realm, Field Notes from the Beyond is for you. We are dedicated to trying to understand all of it. We bring you This Day in Paranormal History on Mondays. We’ve scoured the internet and all forms of media to find things related to the paranormal and the study of the paranormal that have happened each day. Each Monday, you will get a week’s worth of paranormal happenings, from important birthdays to film and TV premieres to UFO or UAP sightings to incidents of spontaneous human combustion and more!
Each Friday, we bring you definitions of words associated with the study of the paranormal, supernatural, and anomalous. We include one word in each of the following topics each week: general paranormal studies, ghosts and hauntings, cryptids, aliens and UFOs, non-human entities, psychic abilities, and magic. Rest assured, these topics will change over time to cover as much as possible!
On Wednesdays, we have several different things going on. First, we talk about what we’ll be discussing on our monthly podcast Beyond the Human. Then, we bring the Cryptid Compendium with a new cryptid focus each month. The Haunted World focuses on a different haunted location each month. Investigating the Paranormal gives you tips on different types of investigations from ghosts to cryptids to aliens. We’ll also update you on our Anomalies research project, a large project we’re doing to try to learn more about people’s beliefs and experiences.

Who are we?
We are a group of scholars interested in understanding paranormal, supernatural, and anomalous phenomena from an academic perspective. We want to document and validate experiences people have and study them in a rigorous way to bring credibility to these phenomena.
